I know, I've said to myself and to my husband na tama na muna ang mga overnight trips to Niagara Falls.  Pero I can't help it when I get email offers of really low packages.... kaya I booked a night at Niagara Falls na naman this time for hubby's bday.  Sayang na sold out agad yung bday nya mismo so we're just going there on Friday afternoon and staying the Friday night... biruin nyo for $135 you get 1 night accomodations, $20 in casino chips, $75 dinner voucher and 2 free breakfast buffets... isa pa I haven't stayed at this Marriott yet so another off our list yun... (gusto ko kc ma stay-an lahat ng hotels sa Niagara Falls)

so Nov. 13th here we come... :)

tama ba yun?

anyways, I survived the 1st day of school.  for me and for Justin!  My son has turned Grade 1.  Nasa school na sya from 8:30-3:00pm.  I was worried the whole day yesterday that he would cry or something, pero I was wrong, he had a great time, naubos nya halos yung baon nya (2 pizza pop, 1 cheese and cracker snack, 2 apple juice box and 1 cup of mango jello)  nawalan daw sya ng time kainin yung jello cup and he couldn't wait to eat it right after school.  He was so hungry!  sabi din nya, "the recess is too short, mom!"  He was so sweaty by the time I picked him up.  But I was so glad he had fun.  I remember my sister telling me last year about my nephew, how he cried the whole first week of school!  That's why I was so worried.  pero no need to worry naman pala.

as for my own first day of school.  It was alright.  I got to leave early last night because after all the intro the prof just asked us to write an essay w/c she'll use to assess where we are in our english level. 

bukas naman yung theory course ko... nursing theory that is... I can't belive after 12 years, I'm going back to school to become a nurse... para akong nag start all over again.  hopefully this time, I'll succeed na.

yun lang, just a little update lang... :)

as much as I'd like to update this blog with the goings on in our lives, the lack of time and lack of energy to do it leaves this space outdated.

just to summarize, we had a great summer... went camping in a tent 2x, once in Sandbanks and once in Pinery.  Those places are so nice, I'd like to keep the tradition of going there at least once a year going for many years to come.

went to the beach and Blue Mountain last June or July just for the day to see what the hoopla was about, ended up going hiking, fun fun, I'd like to go there during the winter time.

went to Muskoka to stay in a cottage for 2 nights.  although the cottage was quite old, we had a great time just the three of us, the cottage was right by the water and in the mornings, when the sun hasn't even risen yet, my boys had their fishing line in the water.  we went home with 2 big bass and a catfish w/c my mom fried and my dad ate :) my hubby really enjoys whole days in a boat with nothing but a fishing rod and me with my book :) 

we also took a trip to Atlantic City, Ocean City and Jersey City, NJ while we were visiting family in Philadelphia, all we did was go shopping and eat, what a way to spend our Civic Holiday.

this coming weekend the three of us are off to Grove City and Erie, Pa for some seriuos shopping for me and indoor waterpark for our big boy :)  what a way to cap off our summer holidays.

then come Tuesday next week, we start school, me included :)  hopefully the days will fly by so fast we wouldn't know what hit us.

oh, and to end this post, we returned to the fertility clinic we were going to last year.  It seems we've decided to try one last time.... come to think of it, we're not getting any younger...
